These heat exchangers feature a welded construction making them useful in a wide variety of applications including those where extremely high-pressure or dangerous fluids are used. Gasket lines are laser-welded making it a PHE with cassettes formed from pairs of plates. O-ring gaskets are used to seal the spaces between cassettes to provide twice the pressure resistance of conventional gaskets. Both synthetic rubber gaskets and PTFE cushion gaskets (TCG) are used for the O-ring gaskets between cassettes.
