HYDRAULIC COUPLINGS

Vulkan-Pembril hydraulic couplings are introduced to the South American market with wide design, application and manufacturing experience. The couplings are manufactured based on technology of one of the biggest manufacturers of hydraulic couplings in the world, Pembril. For years, Pembril has developed, manufactured and applied in mills, conveyor belt systems, fans and several high inertia machines. Now the Vulkan-Pembril partnership put together the Sales force from Vulkan and technical support of a specialized tem with the renowned technology from Pembril.

Functioning modes:

The hydraulic coupling works as a pump turbine system. The engine side pumps hydraulic fluid against the other turbine side pushing it. The engine runs unloaded quickly reaching 85% of its nominal velocity. At this time, the driven side starts to accelerate smoothly without overloading the engine.

- Protection of machine and engine against overload by limiting the maximum transmitted torque;

- Selection of engine by operating torque, not requiring overloading the engine by starting torque;

- High efficiency due to low sliding;

- Maximum torque transmission capacity can be adjusted in a range between 80 to 270% of operating torque
